RECTOR’S OFFICE

The Rector’s Office is responsible for directly advising the rector and vice-rector, enacting their decisions and meeting the demands of academic and administrative units, external bodies and the general public.

The Office aggregates the following units:

Social Communication Office (SCO), responsible for the dissemination of knowledge and the socialization of institutional practices, as well as the interaction between disciplines, areas of knowledge, fields of knowledge and communication among the campuses and the different bodies of the institution.

General File and Protocol (GFP), responsible for receiving, recording, controlling the processing and dispatch of documents, with the goal of providinginformation to internal and external users and responsible for generating and formalizing the institution’s administrative processes.

Internal Audit (IA), an independent governmental activity aimed at evaluating and consulting, designed to add value and propose improvements in the actions developed by the Institution.

Advisory for Diversity, Affirmative Actions and Inclusion (ADAAI), which promotes cross-cutting equity actions with higher administration bodies, committees, complementary and supplementary bodies, academic and administrative offices and university units.

Information and Communication Technology Office (DTIC), which aims to create and maintain conditions for the systemic functioning of activities related to information and communication technology, in order to support the development of teaching, research, extension, management and services to the academic community.

Institutional and International Office (DAIINTER), which has institutional responsibility for promoting/to promote policies on internationalization, incoming and outgoing mobility, international agreements, languages ​​and institutional relations.

Ombudsman Office (Ouvidoria), responsible for forwarding requests, complaints, compliments, suggestions and complaints from citizens.

Federal Prosecutor Office, which judicially represents the institution, performing its functions based on the legislation and guiding principles of Public Law, acting exclusively in the advisory sphere, in an incisive search for the application and exercise of Law and Administrative Justice.

Veterinary University Hospital (VUH), a hospital dedicated to the development of teaching, research, extension and service activities to the entire academic community and external community.

Laboratories Division (DILAB), whose objective is to coordinate, supervise and guide the management of laboratories on the campuses, where teaching, research, extension or service activities are carried out.

Also linked to the Rector’s Office are the Academic and Administrative Offices and the 10 (ten) academic units or Campus: Alegrete, Bagé, Caçapava do Sul, Dom Pedrito, Itaqui, Jaguarão, Santana do Livramento, São Borja, São Gabriel and Uruguaiana.
