The Agricultural Engineering program aims at developing professional citizens with critical and ethical sense, who are technologically, scientifically, politically, economically, environmentally, and intellectually qualified. Therefore, this major is designed to produce graduates capable of contributing to the development of society. The curriculum prepares students to become professionals able to solve engineering problems regarding the agricultural sector in fields such as Agricultural Mechanics, Rural Energization, Water and Soil Engineering, Rural Constructions and Ambience, and Processing of Agricultural Products. The knowledge to fulfill society’s demands is also acquired through the execution of research and extension projects. This major is characterized by its five areas of activity, which are properly articulated.
The Agricultural Engineering program is located on Campus Alegrete and is a full-time course with the duration of 10 (ten) semesters. Graduates are granted the title of Bachelor in Agricultural Engineering.
