The Higher Education Teacher Training Program for Latin America and the Caribbean (ProLAC) was created in 2020 by the International Cooperation Group of Brazilian Universities (GCUB), in partnership with the Unión de Universidades de América Latina y el Caribe (UDUAL), with the objective of strengthening Higher Education and scientific and technological production in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as favoring the development and integration of the region by increasing the number of PhDs in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
The program offers tuition free PhD opportunities for professors from universities associated with GCUB and UDUAL, related to the study program; monthly, full or partial scholarships; access to university restaurants or conditions similar to other students; access to classes, study rooms, libraries, laboratories and other university services; and free access to in-person and online language study courses, tutorials with students or teachers, or other modalities.
At UNIPAMPA, ProLac is under the responsibility of the Dean of Research, Graduate Studies and Innovation (PROPPI), through the Graduate Division.
