GP Pharmaceutical Science

The Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences (PGPPS) Master’s level, Campus Uruguaiana, has a team of researchers that comprises all the activities proposed in its lines of research, such as obtaining molecules of therapeutic interest from natural sources or synthetic products, evaluation of their possible biological activities and toxicity, development and quality control of raw materials, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. These actions cover the entire process involved in drug development, from the discovery/planning of new molecules, to obtaining pharmaceutical forms. 

The course aims to: develop quality technical-scientific knowledge in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences; train qualified human resources to carry out teaching and research activities; and promote actions that will contribute to regional and national development. 

The PGPPSis in the “pharmacy” area of ​​concentration and is divided into the research lines (1) Development and quality control of drugs, medicines and cosmetics, and (2) Obtaining and evaluating the chemical and biological properties of bioactive compounds and pharmaceutical ingredients.
