The Postgraduate Program in Science Education: Chemistry of Life and Health (PPGECQVS), made up of advisors/mentors linked to UNIPAMPA, Campus Uruguaiana, and two associated institutions: Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), aims to provide training and an environment conducive to creative activity through research and advanced studies that allow for the awarding of a Master’s or Doctor’s degree in Science Education for the full exercise of research, teaching and extension activities in the area of Science Education, broadening and deepening the knowledge acquired at graduation and promoting the training of highly qualified professors-researchers.
The course is divided into the following lines of research: (1) Teaching and learning process in formal and non-formal environments; (2) Implications of scientific practices in the constitution of subjects and curricula; (3) Scientific production and dissemination, production evaluation, in science and in public policies; and (4) Educational technologies in the teaching-learning process.
