Food Engineering

This Bachelor’s Degree seeks to meet the demand of professionals in the field of Food Engineering in order to contribute to the agricultural, social, cultural, and scientific development of the country, envisioning the dynamics of national and international markets. Fostering regional socioeconomic growth through the dissemination of technologies and training in accordance with the particularities of the region is one of the program’s main targets. Furthermore, the major educates students in providing greater use of the region’s typical raw materials, as well as adding value and converting them into a source of income for producers, according to productive potential, consumption, and market needs. 

The Food Engineering program is located on Campus Bagé and is a full-time course with the duration of 10 (ten) semesters. Graduates are granted the title of Bachelor in Food Engineering.
