CROSS BORDER

Every year, UNIPAMPA launches a specific selection process for the admission of candidates of Uruguayan and Argentine nationality who live in the border region, in undergraduate courses. The cross-border notices are legally based on Decree 5105/2004, Decree 145/2011 and art. 6, sole paragraph, of Resolution 29/2011.

Vacancies are offered for campus Jaguarão for candidates from Rio Branco/Uruguay; Santana do Livramento, for candidates from Rivera/Uruguay; Itaqui, for candidates from Alvear/Argentina; São Borja, for candidates from São Tomé/Argentina, and Uruguaiana, for candidates from Paso de Los Libres/Argentina. Candidates can apply as long as they prove residency in these border locations. The vacancies of the annual notices come from dismissals, transfers and abandonments.

In order to participate, the candidate must present a special border document (Uruguayans), a neighboring border transit card (Argentineans) or a protocol for requesting the document issued by the Federal Police, identity card, certificate or certificate of completion of secondary education, birth certificate or marriage, and proof of residency. Classes are taught in Portuguese, and the student must master the language.

The public notices are under the responsibility of the Dean of Undergrad (PROGRAD) and the Commission for the Specific Selection Process for cross-border Entrance process.
